I replaced the drivers side front wheel bearing, at the same time I replaced the left hand axle CV joint boots. As luck would have it, the balls on the inner joint fell out while I was cleaning it with brake cleaner. I know they're supposed to be matched, but hey I'm on a budget. I put the balls back in and repacked the joints.
Also replaced the front brake pads. There were actually two sets of brand new pads in the trunk of the car when I bought it so I got lucky with this expense.
After I put the front end back together I took it out for it's first fueling. Everything sounded great.
